Communication Skills
The Course seeks to acquaint students with the concept of communication, its components, forms, and hindrances. It also exposes them to situations where they can practice effective communication skills first-hand. The course focuses among other things, on emotional and social intelligence as well as students' competence in presenting ideas persuasively, and in mastering the art of negotiation, dialogue, and group interaction. Emphasis will also be placed on students' ability to understand and come to terms with problematic discourse that is presented through the press and the media, as well as social media, paying special attention to the matters of reliability and authenticity and media education.
